“Chennai Express” is an upcoming film directed by Rohit Shetty and he is known for taking comedy films, thus this film also comes under the category of Indian action comedy film. Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone working together in this film after six years time gap, that is after the blockbuster “Om Shanthi Om”.

This movie is about the man who is travelling from mumbai to rameshwaram and falling in love with the daughter of the Don and that don's role is played by Sathyaraj. Manorama is acting as an aunt of Deepika Padukone. The screen name of Deepika Padukone is Meenalochani and Shahrukh Khan again acting in his famous screen name Rahul.Filming was done at Chattrapathi Shivaji Terminus Railway Station with minimum crew numbers. This filming is started in october,2012 and completed in the month of may,2013.

 The soundtrack of Chennai Express has received positive reviews and it was composed by Vishal-Shekhar. The title song of Chennai express is recorded by S.P.Balasubramaniyam who returned to bollywood after 15 years. The song “1234 get on the dance floor” was released on the World's Music Day. This movie is produced by UTV motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment and the movie is slated to release on August 8,2013.
